Did you know that underwear requires special care to last longer (and with quality)? Even parts made with good materials can show wear and tear when not used, washed and handled properly. That's why we've separated some important care tips that you need to add urgently, so that your underwear lasts longer and maintains its quality: Pay attention to the label washing instructions Many people skip this step, but whenever you buy the best comfortable bra, you need to check the label to know the care that the piece requires. When it comes to a piece that you understand is delicate, that has lace or embroidery details, people are even careful. But when it comes to a seamless panty, for example, because it has no seam, there is no such concern. And it is precisely this negligence that can result in premature wear of your piece. Each of those symbols is a guideline on how the garment should be washed. So the next time you go shopping be sure to check the label and follow the washing instructions! Use mild soap These few people follow and end up using the soap that is most at hand. But the ideal thing is that your panties and bra are washed with some pH neutral soap. There are already specific soaps on the market for underwear or delicate clothes, which are neutral. This is because the neutral pH prevents the emergence of allergies. For underwear, it is also recommended to use liquid soap, which comes out more easily when rinsing. Do not mix with other clothes You probably have a habit of separating light and dark or white and colored clothes, right? Add one more division to your habit: underwear! One of the reasons we mentioned in the previous item: these pieces require a different soap. In addition, the washing cycle itself must be different, intended for delicate clothes, with lower temperatures. Do not twist these parts Avoid wringing underwear. This habit can break the elastic and the fibers of the piece, causing deformities and reducing its useful life. If they are too soaked in water, you can gently squeeze them to remove excess water. Better to leave the cheering only for your favorite team. Always dry in the shade What person doesn't like that sunny day to put all their clothes to dry, right? But when it comes to underwear, it's best to get a shade to ensure the pieces last. This is because the sun mainly damages the elastics, which will have their useful life considerably reduced, as well as the elastane of cotton pieces. Another reason not to dry your clothes in the sun is that light can fade/damage your clothes. Dry weather is fine, of course, but try to keep your clothes out of the sun. Do not hang the pieces in any way In addition to taking care with the sun on the pieces, there is another necessary attention when arranging the clothes: how to hang them on the clothesline. To avoid deformities, the ideal is to hang them the way they are used: standing, with a clamp on each side of the hip elastic. This way, the garment will also dry more evenly. Don't wash clothes in the shower Some people may even find it practical to wash their underwear or underwear in the shower and leave it hanging there. In addition to not being very hygienic, as it facilitates the proliferation of fungi, this habit may be ending the useful life of the piece. There are several rules that are broken here: the garment is washed in hot water, without the use of a specific soap, and it is hung the wrong way. Better wash it properly. Underwear is not swimwear A more common mistake with the arrival of summer is taking a bath in the sea or pool with your underwear underneath. In this way, the piece is exposed to beach sand, sea salinity and swimming pool chlorine, which greatly shortens its useful life. It is worth remembering that most comfortable underwear was not made for these situations, when bathing suits should be used as appropriate clothing, developed specifically for this purpose.
